Survey software

Customer feedback surveys, built to be investigated.

Twenty question types, seven channels, 70+ languages, and branching that adapts to what people just told you. Then Kestivo reads every response and tells you what you didn't ask about.

Most survey tools stop at the dashboard.

Every platform in this category will collect responses and chart them. That is where they stop. The report is the finished product, and what happens next is somebody on your team reading comments and forming a theory.

Kestivo treats the survey as the first step. The same platform that asks the question reads every answer, finds the pattern nobody put on the questionnaire, and puts it in front of the person who can act on it.

Which puts a lot of weight on the survey itself. If people abandon it halfway, if it asks the wrong follow-up, if it only works in English — there is nothing worth investigating.

This page is about that half.

Describe what you want to learn. Get a survey.

Write a sentence about what you're trying to find out and Kestivo drafts the survey — questions, scales, and the logic between them. Edit anything. Start from scratch instead if you'd rather.

Twenty question types, all of them for customer feedback

No conjoint analysis, no price-sensitivity meters, no card sorting. Those belong in a market research platform, and this isn't one.

Plus Read-only Text for instructions, intros, and consent language.

Calendar puts a Calendly booking inside the survey, so someone can put time on your calendar without leaving the question. Video collects a recorded answer — section below. And any of these can be answered out loud instead of typed.

Video surveys: ask it as a conversation

Someone from your team records themselves asking the question — a real face, not text on a screen. Your customer records themselves answering.

Kestivo transcribes every video answer, reads the transcript the same way it reads typed responses, and files it alongside them. The video does not sit in a separate tool with its own report.

Not everyone will record themselves, and you should plan for that. Roughly one person in nine has no working camera and microphone, and video is the format people are least willing to use. Ask for it where the answer is worth the friction — a churned account, a failed onboarding, a detractor who wrote three words.

What you get back is longer. Published research puts video answers at around 1.8× the length of typed ones — 45 words against 25.

Or just let them talk

Voice answers work on every question, not only the open-ended ones. Someone who just rated you three out of ten can say why out loud instead of typing it — same screen, no second tool, no keyboard on a phone.

Kestivo transcribes it and reads the transcript the same way it reads a typed answer.

Voice asks less of people than video. A microphone is a lower bar than a camera, and nobody has to think about how they look.

Three of the four platforms we're most often compared with can't collect a spoken answer at all.

Ask the next question based on the last answer.

Skip logic sends people down a different path depending on what they just told you. Piping puts their own words back into the next question, so it reads like someone was listening. Quotas close a segment once you have enough of it. Randomization varies question and answer order so position doesn't shape the result.

A detractor and a promoter should not see the same third question.

What's missing: calculated fields. If you need to score responses with a formula inside the survey, Kestivo will not do that today.

Send it where your customers already are.

Seven ways out, all in the same platform:

  • Email — from your own sending domain, not ours.
  • SMS — for the audiences who never open email.
  • Web link — one URL, share it anywhere.
  • Website embed and intercept — inside your own page, triggered by what someone is doing on it.
  • QR code — printed, on packaging, on a receipt, on a table tent.
  • In-app SDK — inside your product, in context.
  • Kiosk mode — one device, one question, on a counter or at an event.
Kiosk mode needs a connection. Kestivo does not collect responses offline.

Ask in their language, today.

One click machine-translates a survey into any of 70+ languages. Then your team edits whatever needs to be right — the product names, the tone, the question that doesn't survive translation.

That is a smaller number than some platforms advertise. It is also a different thing. A vendor claiming 200 languages usually means 200 languages your team is welcome to type in itself.

Machine translation you can edit, in the time it takes to pick a language. Not a translation project.

Your survey, not ours.

The survey lives on your domain. Email invitations go out from your sending domain. There is no footer with our name on it, and the design is yours to change — type, color, spacing, logo, the lot.

A customer answering a Kestivo survey has no particular reason to know it's a Kestivo survey.

Ask a vendor what their completion rate divides by.

Four different numbers get called “completion rate” in this industry:

  1. 1How many people finished, out of everyone who started.
  2. 2How many people finished, out of everyone who was invited.
  3. 3How many people finished, out of everyone who opened it.
  4. 4How many questions the average person answered.

Those produce wildly different figures from the same survey. The fourth one isn't even about people finishing. We found four vendors whose own published material contradicts itself about which one they mean: Refiner, SurveyMonkey, Survicate and Retently.

So here is ours, and here is the denominator.

We'll publish Kestivo's completion rate here, with its denominator stated, once there is enough response data to state both honestly.

How Kestivo compares

On the things a customer feedback team actually asks about.

Verified from each vendor's own published documentation and help centers. Sources linked. We recheck every quarter.

Then the part that isn't about surveys.

Everything above is table stakes done well. It is not why anyone switches.

People switch because the responses arrive and then nothing happens to them — because reading four hundred comments is a job nobody has time for, and the pattern that mattered was in the thirty nobody got to.

Kestivo reads every response as it lands, finds what repeats, and routes it to whoever owns it — in Slack, Jira, Zendesk, HubSpot, or Salesforce. When a business metric moves, it starts looking without being asked.

What is customer feedback survey software?

Customer feedback survey software collects structured responses from your customers — NPS, CSAT, CES, ratings, and open-ended answers — across email, SMS, web, and in-product channels, then analyzes them so teams can see what customers are experiencing and act on it.

Frequently asked questions

How many question types does Kestivo have?

Twenty, plus a read-only text element for instructions and consent. All twenty are built for customer feedback — there are no market research instruments like conjoint or price-sensitivity analysis.

Can Kestivo create a survey with AI?

Yes. Describe what you want to learn in a sentence and Kestivo drafts the questions, scales, and logic. Everything is editable, and you can build from scratch instead.

How do video surveys work?

Someone from your team records the question, your customer records the answer. Kestivo transcribes it, runs sentiment on the transcript, and files it alongside typed responses rather than in a separate report.

Can people answer by voice?

Yes, on every question type rather than only open-ended ones. Kestivo transcribes the recording and reads the transcript the same way it reads a typed answer.

What languages does Kestivo support?

Any of 70+ via one-click machine translation, which your team can then edit. You are not typing translations in yourself.

Can I remove Kestivo's branding?

Yes. Your domain, your sending domain for email invitations, no footer, and a design you control.

Which channels can I send a survey on?

Email, SMS, web link, website embed, website intercept, QR code, in-app SDK, and kiosk mode.

Does Kestivo work offline?

No. Kiosk mode runs on a device at a counter or an event, but it needs a connection. If you need genuinely offline collection, Kestivo is not the right tool.

Is there a free plan or a trial?

No. Every account starts with a demo, so we can set the first survey up with you rather than leave you to it.

Does Kestivo provide survey respondents?

No. Kestivo surveys the customers you already have. If you need a sourced research panel, you want a market research platform.

How is this different from SurveyMonkey?

The survey builder covers similar ground. The difference is what happens after the responses land — Kestivo reads every one, finds what repeats, and routes it to whoever owns it instead of leaving your team to read comments.

See it on your own feedback.

Thirty minutes. We'll build a survey against something you actually want to know, and show you what Kestivo finds in the responses you already have.

No spam. One email when your invite is ready.
